Government of India (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy)
A central government scheme supporting residential rooftop solar installation, aimed at helping households reduce or eliminate their electricity bills through subsidised solar systems.

UPNEDA Support (Uttar Pradesh)
Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency
UPNEDA is the state nodal agency for renewable energy in Uttar Pradesh, and coordinates state-level facilitation, empanelment of vendors, and processing support for rooftop solar in the state.

- • Installation carried out via a UPNEDA-recognised or empanelled process

PM-KUSUM (for agricultural solar pumps)
Government of India (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy)
Supports farmers in installing standalone solar-powered agricultural pumps and solarising existing grid-connected pumps, reducing dependence on diesel and grid power for irrigation.
- • Individual farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, or panchayats as applicable under the scheme component
- • Land ownership or usage rights documentation for pump installation
Subsidy support is provided toward the cost of the solar pump system, with the applicable component and percentage depending on the specific PM-KUSUM component and current guidelines.
